June outings

So we have had a lot of fun so far this summer....and it's still only June! On Father's day we ventured out the City Museum in downtown St. Louis. It's quite a unique place with all sorts of things to do. The pictures explain a lot of what it's about. There is even an aquarium in the middle of it! The kids had a ball! This past week we went to Six Flags amusement park with some friends and it was so fun. The weather was great and the kids were amazing! We were there all day. Kaitlyn even hit a milestone...she ride 2 of the BIG KID rides: the scrambler and the log flume! She was so proud of herself, but ask her if she'd go again and she may waiver!

Vacation Bible School

Kaitlyn started Vacation Bible School this year at our church. It's also where Kaitlyn goes to preschool. The preschoolers are all in the same area and are kept separate from the older kids. There are even some of Kaitlyn's preschool classmates at VBS! She is learning a lot about God and is loving the songs and dancing! Yesterday she made a panda t-shirt and today she made a prayer box. Brady even gets to go! He goes to the nursery and gets to play with other munchkins his age. I get to help out in the preschool rooms. We are having a lot of fun! Here 's a little collage of our first days at VBS - "It's Pandamonium!"

Pre-ballet 1: Summer session

Kaitlyn started ballet again at COCA. She was so excited to see her teacher from last session. Here's a small collage of her first class.

Costa Rica June 2-6

My mom and I took an amazing vacation to Costa Rica earlier this month. It was a very fun vacation with a few excursions and definitely a lot of R&R. We took a tour of the Palo Verde National Park where we took a riverboat cruise in search of wild life - and that we found! We also took a short snorkel cruise off the beach to a reef where I've never seen SO many fish of all different colors, shapes and sizes! It was beautiful. We even caught a rainbow on our trip. The kids had a vacation of thier own...the spent the week in Cleveland with the Kilbane family. They went to the zoo, went on a Safari (in Port Clinton) and Kaitlyn even rode a roller coaster at Kiddie Park. We certainly have kicked the summer off with a bang!
