Feis Na Tara

We've had a big day! The studio Kaitlyn dances for hosted their feis (Irish dance competition) this weekend at the airport Marriott.  We arrived last night to kick off the festivities, where Kaitlyn performed an exhibition dance with the dance troupe.  Today, Kaitlyn competed in three dances: light jig, reel, and slip jig.  She received first place in all three dances! We are super proud of her and she's super excited to see what Irish dance has next for her! Our next encounter: Peach state Feis in may!

Brady starts baseball!

Brady has started baseball! He has three practices a week (although with the crazy weather, he's only been having Saturday practices). He loves his new team and all he is learning. He got new baseball cleats and his very own baseball helmet (with "cage", as he calls it). His first game is March 8!! He's ready to be a superstar!

Kaitlyn's first ATL Irish Dance performance

Since moving to Atlanta, the kids had to get involved in their activities down here. Kaitlyn started Irish dancing at Mulligan School back in August. She competed in her first Southern Region Feisanna in November. Tonight, she performed at her first community event with some of the other girls from the dance studio. She did fantastic. I took several pictures as well as a video of her dancing with the other girls. She will be doing many more performances as she made the Tara Dance Company (which is a handpicked dance team that travels the city in the Spring doing performances). We are quite proud of our little Irish dancer and can't wait to see where her dancing takes us! Here is the video...
