Amelia Island, Florida Vacation

This past weekend, we ventured out of Atlanta and drove down I-75 to Amelia Island, Florida (near Jacksonville). We were ready for some sun, sand, and fun times together. The kids couldn't wait to play in the sand and play in the ocean. They had a blast. We played mini-golf, collected sea shells and even stopped in Historic Savannah, GA on our way home for lunch at the Pirate House and a carriage ride tour of the city. It was quite a relaxing vacation....   On the beach! Our Resort Saturday night, we celebrated our Anniversary and the kids went to "Kids Camp"! They had a blast! Mini Golf! Lining up his shot Taking a swing Mommy made it into a picture! Beach pictures...she loved playing at the water's edge Relaxing under the cabana Waiting outside the lobby.... My attempt at getting some family beach pictures....didn't go my way "The sun is in my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!" I do love this one!...

Braves vs. Reds game at Turner Field

This past Sunday we went to the Braves game at Turner Field. Lucky for us (well, not Brian so much), the Reds were in town! I was so excited to see a game!! The kids were super excited to see a game too - they love the ball park. They had a kids zone with lots of fun activities for the kids to do. Brady got to play a quick game of baseball and got a hit! Our seat were in the upper deck behind home plate so we had a great view. The Reds won so it was an all around great day at the ballpark.

Civil War Locomotive Museum

So it didn't take us long to explore our new town and find some great family things to do. Today we explored the southern  museum of civil war and locomotive history! We bought the annual membership. The kids had a great time exploring the exhibits and best of all the kids play area! They have scheduled events for families through out the year as well as a weekly "mommy and me" themed play hour! I can see us visiting this place a lot.

All settled in.....

Well, we made the move and we are all settled in. The kids are having a ball in their new house (especially the new playroom!). We are still decorating and putting things in their place, but over all it feels like home.  Today we took the kids to the Kids workshop at The Home Depot. They got to make Lucy's car from the new movieDespicable  Me 2! They enjoyed it a lot and we will definitely be back next month.
