Happy Easter

So it's Easter weekend?! How is this possible? I feel like we just began 2011...and now we're at Easter in the end of April?! Time is slipping away from me! This weekend we'll celebrate Easter with the Kilbane family who will be in town from Cleveland. The Easter bunny is sure to make a visit to our house. Kaitlyn is back to school tuesday, as her spring break was the middle of March. She is out of school the end of May (BEFORE Memorial Day) and then the summer begins! I couldn't be more ready for outside activities and warm weather. I hope everyone has a very blessed Easter holiday.

Kaitlyn's Birthday Party at Riverchase

Kaitlyn had her first big birthday party with her friends Sunday at Riverchase Rec Center indoor pool. She invited her best friends and we had pizza, a Cinderella cake and SWIMMING! She had so much fun playing with her friends! Here are the highlights from the day... Singing Happy Birthday.... The Birthday Girl with her Princess castle balloon and the #4 balloon! THE Cake!! She was so excited to have this cake and it had her name on it! All her friends: Jake, Troy, Grace, Kaitlyn, Lily and Grace Opening gifts with help from Grace and Lily Swimming fun!! Brady in his new floating-device swimsuit...he was in the water the whole afternoon! All the swimmers - they sat quite nice for this photo!!

An afternoon at Minnie Ha Ha Park

After picking Kaitlyn up from school yesterday, I asked her what she wanted to do....her usual reply, "Go to the park!". So we headed to Minnie Ha Ha park in Sunset Hills. We love this park as its quite secluded next to Highway 30 just on the other side ofthe Meramec River and it has a great walking path and 3 playgrounds! When the river floods, this park floods and it's depressing because we know it will be quite a while before we can play there. But so far, no flooding this spring! It's great because no one really visits here because the main bridge that crosses from Fenton into Sunset Hills over the river is destroyed so people think the park is closed or unaccessible...NOT SO! We love this park and I was able to get some great pictures of the kids. The Birthday Girl All smiles on the Horse...he was making horse noises the whole time! On the move....as usual! Kaitlyn's turn He found something?? Not sure what?! Having a snack...sharing, although Kaitlyn wasn...

4-14-2011

Today is Kaitlyn's birthday. She is 4 years old and I can't believe that she is such a big girl. She wore her birhtday shirt to school today, took ABC Cheese crackers for her special birthday treat and when I picked her up from school she was wearing an "It's My Birthday" hat! We went to Red Robin for dinner and had cake at home and she opened all her gifts with such excitement...after each one, she said "It's just what I wanted!". Her BIG birthday party is this weekend at the indoor pool at our local rec center. She is so excited to have a swim party and a Cinderella cake!

Purina Farms

In case you didn't know this about my children, they LOVE animals...all types but mostly dogs and puppies. So we headed to Purina Farms on Sunday and the kids had a blast. Brady was a bit tired from trying to be good in church so he snoozed for about an hour. Kaitlyn enjoyed petting the animals in the Easter Village and we all really liked the Frisbee Dog show - they were amazing leaping and bounding in the air catching those frisbees!
Kaitlyn turns 4 next week (thursday)! I can hardly believe 4 years ago I was BIG and pregnant awaiting the birth of our amazing daughter! She was 11 days early, I was in labor for 30 hours and was finally born on April 14, 2007 at 2:07pm weighing 7lbs 9 oz and my life if forever changed having such an wonderful little girl! Here is her birthday picture taken today at Portrait Innovations in Brentwood. Don't ask where Brady's pictures are - he wanted no part of picture taking today! Kaitlyn, on the other hand, was a supermodel! She took some great photos and this was my favorite! This is also her Easter dress...she'll be stylin' for the Easter Bunny in 2 weeks.
