Highlights from today: Hollywood Studios

Today we spent the day at Hollywood Studios. The kids enjoyed seeing all their favorite characters and catching the fun shows. They loved the Toy Story Mania ride. Brady rode the Star Wars ride with Brian and may get to participate in Jedi Training later this week.  Here are some pictures we took while waiting to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody.  Meeting the Disney Jr. Characters Jake (& the never land pirates) and Sophia the First Wreck it Ralph and Vallenope Monsters, Inc: Mike & Sulley

Anna & Elsa

In case you haven't heard, Disney has a new hot movie that's taken the world by storm. 2 Academy awards, merchandise that flies off shelves, #1 animated movie of all time at the box office.....it's kind of a big deal!  Getting to meet the two stars - sisters, Anna and Elsa - is an amazing opportunity.  The queen and princess are located in Norway of Epcot's world showcase. Not knowing how popular it would be, the cottage where they appear is quite small, and the crowds grow from the minute he park opens. When we left the line had grew to a 5 hour wait!  We arrived at Epcot an hour before the gates opened. At 8:50am, the kids and I took off for Norway. Not knowing that when we arrived, we'd still have a two hour wait..... Yea, it's a big deal!  We waited and the kids never once complained, singing songs, playing games and making new friends to pass the time.  The moment was finally upon us! At 11:30am (2 1/2 hours after getting in line) we met Queen Elsa and Prin...

Epcot Flower & Garden Show

Tonight we spent the evening at Epcot. Their annual flower and garden festival is going on right now.  The kids loved seeing their favorite movie characters made into topiaries.           Kermit & Miss Piggy         The dwarfs.....        Snow White        Lion King

Disney Magic

Greeting from the most magical place on earth! We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World for spring break. They were shocked when we arrived last night. Today, since Brian is at a conference through the weekend, the kids and I set out to explore on our own.  At the hotels at night before our night swim...                  Inside Magic Kingdom          Meeting Merida from Brave      Brady got to be the Beast in "Belle's enchanted tales"!! He was a star!                       Meeting Ariel....     Outside Ariel's new ride....

A few more from the weekend....

Here are a few more pictures from our eventful weekend.  Friday 3/14: Michael O'Neal concert performance  3/15: Downtown Parade Atlantic Station Irish Bred Pub Douglasville, GA

Kaitlyn's BIG night!

Kaitlyn danced March 14 with the Michael O'Neal singers at Roswell United Methodist Church. The audience was about 1,500 people. She did amazing! All the girls did! She had a small solo part at the beginning of one of the dances that the Championship dancers choreographed. Here is a video of her part. It's taken from the audience, so the quality is so-so...but you can tell it's her! She showed so much confidence and we are so proud of her.

St. Patrick's day tour of dances

St. Patrick's Day is quite the holiday for the Irish. If you're an Irish dancer, you're a celebrity. Touring nursing homes, schools, places of business, choral concerts, downtown parades and well, pubs. There's nothing strange about children Irish dancing in a pub on St. Patrick's day. They do it nightly in Ireland! Our children were blessed enough to be apart of the Mulligan School of Irish Dance St. Patrick's day tour. Kailtyn tried out for (and made) the special dance company that was asked to perform at a concert of choral singers. They performed three numbers, Kaitlyn was in 2 of them (with a solo in one). Brady took up Irish dance mid-way though this tour. Below is a video of him at one of the pubs performing with the older girls. He stole the show quite often! I have quite a few more pictures and video...will have to compile them into another post. It was such a fun week and a half. The kids finally had an afternoon off today! They've danced th...

Roswell North Elementary International night
