Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all! We are celebrating Thanksgiving this year in St. Louis with the Kilbane side of the family. Mom and Dad Kilbane traveled in from Strongsville, Ohio on Wednesday and will stay with us until Sunday. The Humphrey's are celebrating Thanksgiving at Molly's with Adam's family as well. We will miss being with them this year, but look forward to celebrating Christmas with them next month.
Mom K and I will be venturing out on Black Friday to see what kind of deals we can get! We will not be one of the crazed shoppers who are in line at 3am, however...10am sounds a little better to me!
Brian and I are spending the evening away from home on Friday night - out to dinner and to a movie...then to the DoubleTree to get an uninterrupted night of sleep - the kiddos have been keeping Brian and I up quite a bit the last few weeks...a good nights rest is much needed!
Then its back tot he grind on Monday for everyone. Brian, the kids and myself will be traveling to Cincinnat December 18-23 to celebrate Christmas with the Humphrey's and then the Kilbane's will return to St. Louis to celebrate Christmas with us December 26-January 2. Brian and I gave each other our Christmas gifts early this year - we will be celebrating New Year's in Las Vegas while the Kilbane's watch Kaitlyn and Brady. We will be gone December 29-January 1.
We will miss seeing everyone this year in Cleveland, but it makes traveling with our kids a lot easier if we can only travel to ONE city during the holidays. This rotation seems to be working well for everyone!
Hoping everyone enjoys their turkey and pumpkin pie today and that all have a joyous beginning to the holiday season!
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Cincinnati in a few weeks!

A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!

Kaitlyn's first ATL Irish Dance performance

Since moving to Atlanta, the kids had to get involved in their activities down here. Kaitlyn started Irish dancing at Mulligan School back in August. She competed in her first Southern Region Feisanna in November. Tonight, she performed at her first community event with some of the other girls from the dance studio. She did fantastic. I took several pictures as well as a video of her dancing with the other girls. She will be doing many more performances as she made the Tara Dance Company (which is a handpicked dance team that travels the city in the Spring doing performances). We are quite proud of our little Irish dancer and can't wait to see where her dancing takes us! Here is the video...
