February Fun

Eventhough it's only February 3, we have been quite busy in our house! Kaitlyn made her very first Valentine's Day box for all her Valentines. She is making Princess Valentines this year and will be giving them to all of Brian's co-workers along with our homemade sugar cookies.
We love having fun with the new camera - the kids are easy targets...they take such cute pictures and video.
And Kaitlyn has taken an interest in helping me cook! Tonigh she helped me make "mini-pizzas". We used sandwich thins (like buns, but really think and only 100 calories), pizza sauce and cheese, green pepper and onion (only on mine because Kaitlyn said she didn't "yike" those!). She did so well spreading the sauce and sprinkling the cheese. She said Mommy was to put them in the oven beacuse it was TOO HOT (and she waved at the oven). They turned out super yummy! I think this will be something we make quite often in our house. Enjoy the pictures.

He scored tons of tickets in the ticket blaster, had a Star Wars cake and had a great time playing games with all his friends. Here are some highlights from the awesome party! Project 5 Task 1

 What are the benefits of blogging for students?  There are many benefits of blogging for students. Students can use blogging to express what they have learned about a specific topic in the classroom. For example, students have been learning about marine animals in science class. Students have been following the nesting of sea turtles in Hilton Head Island. They have each chosen a nest and have been following it on their website. Every few days, students read the progress of the nest online and then create a blog post on what they read and include images to share with their classmates.  Another benefit to students blogging is for them to be able to express themselves creatively. 12 Days of Pinterest: Day 8

Day 8: 12/17/12 Ok, so I apologize for the break in my "12 days of Pinterest" posts. My parents were in from Ohio the last 5 days and we were busy celebrating Christmas (early) and doing all the St. Louis holiday things there are to do (lights, train displays, Christmas concerts....you know!). Today I am doing a something that when I saw it on Pinterest - I knew I HAD to do it! We have a ton of ornaments. They are currently on our tree (duh) but when they are in storage the other 11 months of the year, they are kept wrapped in tatty tissue paper in shirt boxes that are falling apart. Every year I say "I am going to get one of those "ornament organizers" (the ones you see at Target and Home Depot)....and every year when I go to buy one, I go into sticker shock! How can a piece of plastic that holds 12 ornaments be $20! Of course we have more than a dozen ornaments, so I went on a hunt for something cheaper! Here it is! It cost me $2.50 to make.
