Ballet and the Barber!

Well, We've had a very busy day. Brady got his very first haircut today (at 11 months, 5 days old) and Kaitlyn attended her first ballet class at COCA (Center of Creative Arts). SHE LOVED IT - didn't want to leave and I had a hard time explaining to her that we are coming every week all summer! I think we found something she really likes - watch for her to be the next professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars! Enjoy the pictures and many more to come - having a fantastic summer and can't wait to share all our fun with you!

Too Cute! I can't believe Brady's hair is long enough to be cut already! Kaitlyn is adorable in her ballerina outfit.

A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!

Kaitlyn's first ATL Irish Dance performance

Since moving to Atlanta, the kids had to get involved in their activities down here. Kaitlyn started Irish dancing at Mulligan School back in August. She competed in her first Southern Region Feisanna in November. Tonight, she performed at her first community event with some of the other girls from the dance studio. She did fantastic. I took several pictures as well as a video of her dancing with the other girls. She will be doing many more performances as she made the Tara Dance Company (which is a handpicked dance team that travels the city in the Spring doing performances). We are quite proud of our little Irish dancer and can't wait to see where her dancing takes us! Here is the video...
