Our Cleveland Christmas visit

Oh wow...what a whirlwind! Because of the impending weather, we left St. Louis a day early to avoid snow on our journey to Cleveland to celebrate Christmas with the Kilbanes. We arrived late on Christmas day and braced ourselves for the "blizzard" that they were predicting. We got snow and wind, and COLD temperatures. The kids loved it. It was our first snow since last year (February)! We weren't out long due to the wind and sub-freezing temperatures. Kaitlyn was very upset that it wasn't "snowman making" snow...but they still found a way to throw it at us!

Time to go inside for "Hot Cocoa"

Time to open presents! The kids were beyond excited to open the presents under the tree! Brady was covered in a mountain of gifts! He sifted through them quickly though...Kaitlyn was quite excited with her first "Lego Friends" kit as well as her Dorothy dress and Toto (in his basket) from the Wizard of Oz.

SLED RIDING! On New Year's Day, we took the kids to some hills nearby. They had never really been sledding before. They trekked up the big hill and came sliding down. It was, again, quite cold and windy. We didn't stay long, but they loved every second.

Brady decided he wanted to have his birthday party with his friends at Chuck E Cheese. He invited his best buddies from school and we had a great time. He scored tons of tickets in the ticket blaster, had a Star Wars cake and had a great time playing games with all his friends. Here are some highlights from the awesome party! A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!
