Happenings....

Well....what a weekend! We had quite a fun and event filled weekend. Friday night Brian escorted Kaitlyn to the Daddy-Daughter Valentine dance sponsored by the school. They had a great time. Brady and I had our own date night - dinner at Cracker Barrel and then a trip to the pet store to see animals (his favorite!).
Saturday we got invited to have dinner with friends from the kids' school while the girls in the group went to a tennis clinic. Kaitlyn loved it!
Then we got up super early this morning to go to Kaitlyn's feis downtown. She did great placing second in the reel and third in her light jig. Her last feis she had quite a large case of the jitters, but she did great this time around!
Kaitlyn then had an indoor soccer game where she played great. We made homemade pizza for dinner and ended the night with frozen yogurt at Menchie's! Thanks grandma an grandpa K for the valentine gift cards for the kids!
What a weekend....

Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese!!

Brady decided he wanted to have his birthday party with his friends at Chuck E Cheese. He invited his best buddies from school and we had a great time. He scored tons of tickets in the ticket blaster, had a Star Wars cake and had a great time playing games with all his friends. Here are some highlights from the awesome party! A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!

Kaitlyn's first ATL Irish Dance performance

Since moving to Atlanta, the kids had to get involved in their activities down here. Kaitlyn started Irish dancing at Mulligan School back in August. She competed in her first Southern Region Feisanna in November. Tonight, she performed at her first community event with some of the other girls from the dance studio. She did fantastic. I took several pictures as well as a video of her dancing with the other girls. She will be doing many more performances as she made the Tara Dance Company (which is a handpicked dance team that travels the city in the Spring doing performances). We are quite proud of our little Irish dancer and can't wait to see where her dancing takes us! Here is the video...
