Amelia Island, Florida Vacation

This past weekend, we ventured out of Atlanta and drove down I-75 to Amelia Island, Florida (near Jacksonville). We were ready for some sun, sand, and fun times together. The kids couldn't wait to play in the sand and play in the ocean. They had a blast. We played mini-golf, collected sea shells and even stopped in Historic Savannah, GA on our way home for lunch at the Pirate House and a carriage ride tour of the city. It was quite a relaxing vacation....

A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!
