BUSY FUN FESTIVE WEEKEND

Ok...so we had a full weekend! Saturday morning, we took the kids bowling. They love to go bowling! Brady liked trying to carry his 6lb ball and roll it down the ramp and Kaitlyn is becomming quite a pro! She got 4 spares in the second game and even beat Mommy (that doesn't say much for my bowling capabilities!). Saturday evening, the weather was quite mild for December 17 so we took the kids to the Wild Lights at the Zoo. They loved seeing all the ligh displays and walking around the zoo at night. And today, the Bengals were playing here in town playing the Rams. We found $6 tickets on stub hub, so we took the kids to their first football game. We had so much fun! The kids were fantastic and we really enjoyed the Bengal win (well, I did anyway!). We are lookig forward to a super busy week filled with more fun festivities and the beginning of our holiday celebrations with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa K; Santa's big arrival as well as getting ready for a fun visit with the...

Kaitlyn's School Christmas Program

Kaitlyn's Christmas program was last night at her school. The bands (beginner and advanced) play first and then the preschool sings, then Kindergarden and then a play put on by students in first through fourth grade. The preschool classes sang 4 songs and Kaitlyn was so cute! It was hard to get good photos of her since she was in the middle row and was a littel shy about performing! She did great though, and Brady had fun too!

Breakfast with Santa

So we continued with our tradition and headed out for Breakfast with Santa. We tried a new place this year, as we usually would go to Macy's downtown. This year we tried The Ritz Carlton in Clayton and it was with out a doubt amazing! The food was great, Santa and Mrs. Claus were there for pictures and handing out treats and theatmosphere was fantastic. Below are some of the highlights. Enjoy!  Waiting for our table to be ready....cute pic by the beautiful tree  Photo op with Mommy  Such angels....waiting for Breakfast  Giving Santa the picture she colored  Telling Santa their wishes!  Mrs. Claus painting Rudolph on Kaitlyn's hand So proud of her hand painting

Disney World 09/2011

In September we took the kids to Disney World. It was their first visit and needless to say - they had a "magical" time! We did all that we could do with a 2 and 4 year old....and all that we could fit into 7 days. We stayed at The Wilderness Lodge which was really convenient getting to and from The Magic Kingdom. The kids loved riding the buses and boats! Here are some of the highlights of the trip. I think Kaitlyn's favorite part was meeting all her favorite characters, getting made up like a princess at the boutique, and of course, having dinner with the princesses at the Royal Castle! I think that was my favorite part too. The kids can't wait to go back! Day 1: We headed to Magic Kingdom and who did we find - the princesses! Kaitlyn's day was complete! Day 2: Animal Kingdom. We happened to see Pocahontas. She was so nice! Having mommy's pudding.... We had to go on a hunt to find Jasmine, and Aladdin happened to be with her! Kaitlyn was elated! Meetin...

Catching Up

First let me start by apologizing for my absence. Since Kaitlyn started school, life has taken on a whole new form of BUSY! Kaitlyn is in school 3 days a week this year (tuesdays, wednesdays and thursdays). Kaitlyn had a great soccer season that wrapped up the middle of November. She started taking Irish dancing lessons and loves it! If the mood strikes her just right, she'll break right into dance steps. She takes class one evening a week for an hour. Brady is getting ready to start "My First School" at the Magic House and of course we are gearing up for a fantstic holiday season. My sister, Kate, came to spend Thanksgiving with us this year. We had a great time cooking and eating, of course! I have posted some pictures from some of the highlights from the last few months. Enjoy! More posts, pictures and videos will be coming soon!
