Christmas Morning Magic

This year was a very special Christmas in the Kilbane House. Kaitlyn has reached an age where Santa is no longer scary and she enjoyed seeing his and telling him what she wanted - which changed weekly, if not daily! Santa had to be quite creative this year since he couldn't bring her ALL that was on her list. I think she was quite happy with all the goodies she got which included Slinky Dog from the Toy Story movies, a miniature Rapunzel doll to join her other miniature princess dolls and the Magical Princess Castle (her BIG gift!) Brady wasn't sure what the heck was going on - he was very interested in the flying paper coming from Kaitlyn's direction. He got golf clubs, a basketball hoop, puzzles, an Elmo camera and a v-tech shapes and colors car. Next year, maybe he'll join his sister in all the excitement. Either way, there was lots of Christmas morning magic here today. Below is a small collage of what this morning looked like. I'll upload more when time allows! Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese!!

Brady decided he wanted to have his birthday party with his friends at Chuck E Cheese. He invited his best buddies from school and we had a great time. He scored tons of tickets in the ticket blaster, had a Star Wars cake and had a great time playing games with all his friends. Here are some highlights from the awesome party! A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!

Kaitlyn's first ATL Irish Dance performance

Since moving to Atlanta, the kids had to get involved in their activities down here. Kaitlyn started Irish dancing at Mulligan School back in August. She competed in her first Southern Region Feisanna in November. Tonight, she performed at her first community event with some of the other girls from the dance studio. She did fantastic. I took several pictures as well as a video of her dancing with the other girls. She will be doing many more performances as she made the Tara Dance Company (which is a handpicked dance team that travels the city in the Spring doing performances). We are quite proud of our little Irish dancer and can't wait to see where her dancing takes us! Here is the video...
