St. Patrick's day tour of dances

St. Patrick's Day is quite the holiday for the Irish. If you're an Irish dancer, you're a celebrity. Touring nursing homes, schools, places of business, choral concerts, downtown parades and well, pubs. There's nothing strange about children Irish dancing in a pub on St. Patrick's day. They do it nightly in Ireland! Our children were blessed enough to be apart of the Mulligan School of Irish Dance St. Patrick's day tour. Kailtyn tried out for (and made) the special dance company that was asked to perform at a concert of choral singers. They performed three numbers, Kaitlyn was in 2 of them (with a solo in one). Brady took up Irish dance mid-way though this tour. Below is a video of him at one of the pubs performing with the older girls. He stole the show quite often! I have quite a few more pictures and video...will have to compile them into another post.
It was such a fun week and a half. The kids finally had an afternoon off today! They've danced their little hearts out! Looking forward to making many more dancing memories in the years to come.

Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese!!

Brady decided he wanted to have his birthday party with his friends at Chuck E Cheese. He invited his best buddies from school and we had a great time. He scored tons of tickets in the ticket blaster, had a Star Wars cake and had a great time playing games with all his friends. Here are some highlights from the awesome party! Today we spent the day at Hollywood Studios. The kids enjoyed seeing all their favorite characters and catching the fun shows. They loved the Toy Story Mania ride. Brady rode the Star Wars ride with Brian and may get to participate in Jedi Training later this week.  Here are some pictures we took while waiting to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody.  Meeting the Disney Jr. Characters Jake (& the never land pirates) and Sophia the First Wreck it Ralph and Vallenope Monsters, Inc: Mike & Sulley

A weekend in the city...

Kaitlyn has her first Irish dance feis here in downtown Atlanta. We decided to make a weekend of it (she dances today and tomorrow) and spend the night at the hotel where the feis is being held. We started very early this morning with Kaitlyn dancing just before 9am! She did amazing and placed in both her dances (second in jig; 3rd in reel). After she finished dancing we headed to the children's museum of Atlanta. The kids had a blast trying all the cool things to do. Then we grabbed some lunch in centennial park (it's 65 degrees here so we ate outside!!) and then hit the aquarium. The kids are excited to swim at the indoor pool later and then it's more dancing in the morning!
