Today is Kaitlyn's 5th birthday! She was born at 2:17pm on a Saturday afternoon in Bermuda! Hard to believe that it was 5 years ago....time sure does fly! She has already had a full day! She got to open her gifts this morning from mommy, daddy and Brady. She was so excited to see the new princess bicycle that she got and a matching princess helmet and bell! She also opened her package from Grammy, Pop-pop, Aunt Katie, Aunt Molly and Uncle Adam. She loved the new princess wedding dress with matching veil, bouquet and shoes. Grandma and Grandpa K sent her gift also and she opened it a few days ago! She got a new big girl Tinkerbell watch, a Fancy Nancy book for her book-reader, a Wizard of Oz book with a Ruby slipper necklace and some new clothes for fall! She will be styling for sure! Then it was off to her Princess Tea Party at Sister's Tea House here in Fenton. She invited 9 of her best gal pals from school and they all came dressed as their favorite princess! So we kicked off the Easter weekend with a trip to Six Flags. It was opening weekend and we have season passes, so we took advantage of the nice weather headed out to rided some rides! Kaitlyn and Brady loved riding the mini-train, swings and carousel. Brian rode the Scooby-Doo ride with Brady and Kaitlyn got to meet Scooby and Scrappy. Easter morning was started quite earlier than usual. We decided to try a new restaurant for Easter Brunch so we attended 8:30 mass and then went to EdgeWild Restaurant and Winery. It was delicious. The kids had a great time hunting for eggs and finding their baskets from the Easter Bunny. We have beautiful weather here, so pictures outside church turned out quite nice.

So the weather here has been amazing and yesterday was the first day I've felt ready and able to get out and enjoy it. I saw the doctor last week and have been released from home health theapy and am able to put full weight on my new hip and drive...it's been almost 8 weeks! We ventured out to Vlassis Park yesterday and it was a beautiful day. The kids posed for some pictres for me and then they played and played and played! HAppy St. Patrick's Day! Kaitlyn participated in the Parade today in Downtown St. Louis. Brian took her and he walked behind the float. Kaitlyn wore her Irish Dancing spirt wear and her wig. They had a great time. It was a great day for a parade. It was 80 degrees and sunny! The rain and storms came in later, but the parade was a sucess. Enjoy some of the photos from the day.
