1st day of school

So the day finally came....Kaitlyn went off to Kindergarten and Brady started preschool at St. Paul. They both went off to school...sniff, snff, tear. I held up pretty well; Kaitlyn was so excited to see all her friends and her new teacher. Brady was excited until it was time for mommy and daddy to leave. He was crying when we left, but I know he is having a good time. They both only have a half day today, so I can't wait to pick them up at noon! Here are some pictures from the morning. Soccer season has begun!

So we have begun another season of St. Paul soccer with the St. Paul soccer tournament at Fenton Park. Kaitlyn wa so excited to play in her first game of the season and was sure she'd score her first goal! We started the day with team pictures and then headed to our field for our 11am game. Kaitlyn had several break-aways down the field and even earned her first "assist" in which her teammate, Mandy, scored off Kaitlyn's "pass" (I use " " only because at this age, they are hardly assisting and passing, but you get the gist!). She has done really well and we are off to our second game of the weekend. Hopefully I will have an update later with a goal announcement! Lots more pictues and video to come through out the season. Busy weekend

So this weekend marks the end of summer for us - school starts next week with Kaitlyn in kindergarden and Brady in preschool! Hard to believe that they will both be in school (at least part of the time). Brady will be going to the same school where Kaitlyn attends kindegarden and will attend tuesdays and thursdays (half days). Kaitlyn is beyond excited to go to kindergarden! We purchased most of her supplies, new bookbag and everything and she picked out a new Hello Kitty lunch box! She is ready to go! This weekend she has a big soccer tournament in which she will be playing both Saturday and Sunday. She has assured us that she will score her first goal! She is also dancing this weekend at the Route 66 Classic Car show at Sunset Ford in Sunset Hills, MO. She is quite excited about this too - she does love her Irish dancing. More pictures to come this weekend and maybe a video or two. Hope you are all enjoying the end to your summer. Looking forward to all the fun Fall brings us.

Golf Outing

Yesterday was a beautiful day. With storms that came through the night before, it cooled things down a bit. Brian took the kids to the driving range to work on their swings! Kaitlyn has her own set of mini-clubs and Brady even uses them and has his own putter. Brian showed them each how to hit the ball and they both did great! Brady espcially liked the driver and made pretty good contact with the ball for a three year old! Then it was on the to putting green to work on their short game. This is their favorite. They both did well and Kaitlyn worked on lining up her shot and aiming at the hole. All in all - it was a successful! Here are some pics from our golf outing! Hershey, PA Vacation July 2-6, 2012

After the big birthday bash, we headed to Hershey, PA with Grandma and Grandpa K! We stayed in a quaint guest house just 5 minutes from Hershey. Our fist night there, we checked out the Hotel Hershey, where we also had a fabulous dinner at Harvest. The food was amazing! We visited Hershey Park - an amusement park filled more than 20 kiddie rides and 12 full size roller coasters and a waterpark. Kaitlyn's favorite was the Flying Eagles and Brady's favorite was the Mine Ride rollercaoster - he bacame quite the dare devil! We also visited Chocolate World - an informative experinece that allows you to see how Hershey Chocolate is made. There was also a fun 3-D movie about the life of Mr. Milton Hershey, as well as a trolley tour that took you through the town of Hershey, stopping at historic ladmarks along the way. We had a fantastic time - the kids didn't want to leave. Below is a collage of the highlights of our trip.

Brady turns 3!

July 2 our Brady Xavier turned 3! Where did the time go? We had his big birthday bash at Grandma and Grandpa K's house in Cleveland and all were there to celebrate! The Humphrey's even came in from Cincinnati to party! It was a super-hot day, but we all had a great time. Brady recieved a lot of great gifts and has been busy playing ever since we got home! We even had to open quite a few of them at Grandma and Grandpa K's house! His BIG gift from mommy and daddy was a new "CARS" big boy bike. He is doing great at learning how to ride it. Below is a collage of the highlights of the day. Thanks to all who shared in his special day :)

Gulfport, MS Vacation June 2-9, 2012

Sorry for the delay in my posting...here are some of the highlights from our Family Vacation to Biloxi Beach in Gulfport, MS. We had a fantastic time and the kids absolutely loved swimming in the ocean and playing on the beach. We took a day trip to New Orleans, LA and enjoyed all the sights of the French Quarter inlcuding Cafe DuMonde (YUMMY Beignets!) and the Audobon Zoo. I created 2 collages of our trip...I didn't think you all wanted to peruse my 238 photos from the trip!
