Brady's last day and Graduation from St. Catherine's Preschool

Brady had his last day of school Thursday, with his end of the year party and then graduation ceremony on Friday. They put on a fabulous program with songs and prayers and of course, received their diplomas from the teachers. We are so proud of him and know that he will do awesome in Kindergarten. We are sad to be leaving the preschool family at St. Catherine - it is an amazing place! I won't be going too far - I have accepted a position at the preschool in the 4 year old classroom working as an assistant teacher with Brady's current teacher. I know we will be make a great team and I'm looking forward to getting back in to the work force! Here are some of the pictures from the party and graduation. Brady's last day....

Today was Brady's last day of preschool. He had a big party at school. He got a beautiful memory book from his teacher as well as lots of goodies from the party.  We are so proud of all he's learned this year! It's hard to bieve he's going to kindergarten!  Here's his first day/last day photos! He's grown so much!!

1st grade Wax Museum

Kaitlyn's teacher is quite amazing. She assigned each 1st grader an American historical figure, they were to write a research report on them and then, here's the cool part.... Each student was to come go school dresses as their historical figure and participate in a wax museum. They had 4-5 sentences to say about their figure to parents, teachers, students and other school faculty. They did all this standing in front of a decorative backdrop (all custom made by parent volunteers and her teacher).  Kaitlyn was given Sacagawea. She did awesome! Here's a few pictures.

Busy busy busy....

So this is going to be one BIG post! I have been so crazy the last few weeks with the end of the school year and such that I've neglected my blog posting. I do apologize!  Let me get you caught up!  So after Disney World, a very special young lady turned 7 years old!! I can't believe Kaitlyn is 7! She's raring and ready for 2nd grade.  Here's some birthday pics... Next, we celebrated Easter! Some great fun we had when my parents visited!  The last weekend in April, I met some friends from St. Louis in Nashville for a fun girls weekend. Two of them ran the Rock n Roll half marathon that saturday. We had a blast!  Kaitlyn competed in the Peach state Feis the first weekend in May. She danced three dances and placed in two of them. We are so proud of her. She danced in a bigger field of competition this time around, making it more difficult to place.  One of her school friends dances also for another school.  Mother's Day was very special! We went to a won...

Evening Fun

Last night we had a fabulous dinner at Kouzzina by Cat Cora at the Boardwalk resort. It was delicious! I think Kaitlyn's favorite part was the dessert: decorate your own cupcake. Complete with small candies, sprinkles, chocolate chips and a small squeeze of chocolate syrup! Yum!         The finished product!! Then we headed to Winter Summerland to play some mini-golf. Brady thought the Santa theme was so funny!
